Summer Luncheon 2010

BWL Annual Summer Luncheon
 
Once again, the Petwood Hotel was a stunning venue for the BWL Summer Luncheon.  After a Pimms reception, ladies enjoyed a lovely meal followed by a talk from our guest speaker, Rachel Green.  As a bonus, we were able to raise over £200 for Cancer Research!

Sam Ford introduced the charity being supported this year:  Cancer Research Relay for Life.  BWL have entered a team to run the track for 24 hours - 24th to 25th July.
 
 
 
 
 
 
We started the event with
a game of Heads and Tails.
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
Then we all enjoyed a splendid lunch followed by a talk by Rachel Green.
 
Rachel has made a name for herself by her passionate and committed championing of British produce. She has several television series under her belt – from ITV Yorkshire’s Flying Cook and World on a Plate, to Kill It Cook It! Eat! On BBC3 and Farm of Fussy Eaters on UK TV Style.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Following this informative and interesting talk, a raffle took place
which raised over £200 for Cancer Research.
