The Healthy Hub

HUB  OF ACTIVITY

BWL’s early risers got the day off to a great start by getting together over breakfast in Lincoln.

A small group visited The Healthy Hub in Beaumont Fee, where they were greeted by Employment Support Manager Danica Gilland and General Manager Kara Moore.   After tucking in, members heard about why The Hub was originally set up and its ongoing mission to provide supported employment  - both paid and voluntary – to disadvantaged members of the local community.   Danica explained its current involvement in the Future Jobs Fund, which is aimed at 18 to 24-years-old people, about the relaunch of a Volunteer to Work scheme and also the planned launch of ERA, an ethical recruitment agency.   Kara was keen to promote the conference and catering facilities at The Healthy Hub. She also elaborated on the outside catering arm of the business – which aims to offer a high standard of service for weddings, christenings and parties.

BWL members were also given a tour of the Hub’s facilities before leaving to go to a variety of other business meetings and appointments.   Anyone wishing to know more about The Healthy Hub can contact Kara or Danica on (01522) 523818.
